2002 F150 4.6 2WD The stock oil pump has been completely replaced. The car is very quiet now.
2002 F150 4.6 2WD This new oil pump was added when worn timing chain and governor assemblies were replaced. I've owned the truck from the start and I can't recall it ever idling so quietly. The new pump has a standard relief spring included in the oil pick-up o-ring. I did not remove the oil pan for installation, see YouTube for info. The truck is 99% stop and go with lots of idling waiting for the kids by the pickups.
