Review on Tunable AFD Technology ADC Adscope 615 Platinum Tactical Sculpted Clinician Stethoscope by Matt Minette

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great stethoscope best in my review

Great stethoscope. I have owned a Littman Classic II. S.E. and a Littman Lightweight. This ADC stethoscope is actually better than both at auscultating lung sounds and heart sounds. The stethoscope also looks great. If I had to choose between the 3 of the listed stethoscopes, I would choose this ADC platinum 615 (if the prices were similar, which they are in 2022 at $60-70).I have also owned a Littman Cardiology III for 7 years, and now a Littman Cardiology IV. These stethoscopes are of higher quality than the ADC Platinum. If you need the best, go with the Cardiology IV. Problem with this stethoscope is it cost 3X the ADC Platinum, so losing it at work can be painful. The way I would do it is a Littman Cardiology IV in a case in my bag so it's there if I need it, and the ADC Platinum around my neck or in my pocket as my daily driver because eventually you will leave it behind somewhere and it's a 50/50 if you get it back.

Pros
  • The design of this stethoscope is carefully crafted to fit comfortably in the hand, minimizing strain on your hands and wrists during use
Cons
  • May not provide sufficient sound insulation for clinicians working in loud or noisy clinics
