I have a bad one? A picture of an unnamed 1975 fringe signal black and white Betamax TV with dirty heads will have a nicer picture than the one produced by this camera. The image is very grainy (not pixelated, just grainy). Example: When connected directly to my 55" flat panel display with a short gold-plated RCA cable, I could not read 2" black letters on a white background in a well-lit room with only 2.5m between the camera and its focus . Despite careful focusing of the hand screw on the lens, access from here was not yet possible. In response to other claims that no documentation is included - absolutely true - comes in a tiny plastic pouch/bag with a pressed seal. Those who said it didn't work probably didn't know that this camera requires an external 12V power supply to work. Some documentation might help these people. The camera is quite warm to the touch (maybe 120-130 F) but heat can dissipate quickly in your hand, so a small heat sink or aluminum foil would help. I can't imagine that this promises a long service life, since the heat in electronics is usually the kiss of death. Maybe, just maybe, you can see movement. However, the display also lacks a low-light specification, so there's no reason to blame it alone. I wasn't expecting much for $14, but I can't even classify this camera as marginal. 2 stars because it was on and the color detection was accurate and bright. Bought from Vanxsemall. Fulfilled by Amazon. Maybe I got a bad one. If so, I think it was just bad luck. I'll look around for a better camera. Not interested in using the full range of cheap cameras just to get a cheap deal.
