Review on Semogue Excelsior 830 Shaving Brush by Amanda Gardner

First I have to add my DE wet shaving newbie (1 month) disclaimer and this is my second brush. First, there was no pungent odor or smell from the box. The brush is well made, only two loose hairs on the first wash. I found a forum that describes how to soften and deodorize the brush. I shaved with a brush for twenty-four hours. Odorless and soft like my badger hair brush, but a little harder. The only difference noted was less foam. It lasts a little longer and isn't as intense but not as sloppy when applied to the face. This is because it contains less water than the badger brush. I managed to "draw" the foam onto the face better. I expect the brush to soften only after a complete breakdown. Overall, I like this brush better than my badger hair brush; although it's not silver tip. I'll have to wait and see for that comparison.
