Disappointing but workable. Will I recommend? no Older models (2005) had a latch to keep rust and dust out of the lock. The bike mount bolts weren't visible either (although they were still rusty). The big problem now is that the U bar hook is loose and turns easily. It would be nice if he still had a simple device that fits in the slot. But the new mount has a plastic hook that you have to slide and click. But since the U-Bracket's hook is loose, it just wants to swivel, not snap. It takes two hands and patience. Nice lock if you buy a bike and rarely ride it. Daily ride? Drop it in a week.
