Review on πŸ” SANSUI ES-22F1 Ultra Slim Ergonomic Computer Monitor - 1920X1080P, Wall Mountable, Anti-Bluelight, Flicker-Free, Anti-Glare, HDMI by Charles Ligon

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great budget monitor

Hmm, SANSUI is my brand that I recognize. A quick look at Japanese company Sansui Electronics' Wikipedia page reveals that it ceased to exist in 2014, but the Chinese brand has existed beyond that year. I recently ordered a 15 inch Feihe branded monitor at this price point and found it disappointingly cheap and flimsy. So I doubted that this 22-inch 1080p SANSUI monitor is worth buying. But the reviews were mostly good and I was pleasantly surprised. That's a lot of monitor for the price. I see image quality complaints in other Revain reviews with terms like blowout and a matte finish, but for my purposes it's great. I love that it has a 75Hz refresh rate. And I love that it's lightweight, only 4.6 pounds, no power adapter or HDMI cable, and easy to move around. The menu buttons are on the back right, easily accessible and giving a sense of what's what. For information on the functions of the menu buttons, see the supplied operating instructions. This is handy for those who occasionally change monitor settings. VESA mounting holes match. The (other) Feihe brand monitor I ordered at this price could not. The stand installation guide has instructions for attaching the screws to the metal plate, but the monitor I received had this stand already assembled, no additional screws were included. The leg is securely fastened into the front panel of the monitor, metal on plastic. But the leg to base (plastic to plastic) snap connection isn't as secure and pulls out easily so it's not really 'locked'. Although the base is very light, I recommend holding the base when moving the monitor. When I first moved it, the base hit my leg as it fell. The warranty card states that there are SANSUI Authorized Service Centers in the United States and Canada, and "for nearest" has a phone number with a southern Illinois area code. The warranty card contains a website with the domain sansui-corp.com. I can access this website in Chrome browser but Firefox says its certificate has been revoked. The service email has the domain expressluck.com and a search reveals a site headquartered in Hong Kong AND nearby Shenzhen, China. The box says "Made in China".
