Review on 🌺 Hawaiian Julie Andrews by Damian Toupal

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great cinematography but woefully incomplete

Based on Michener's book but with only one chapter. The title should have something more to do with the story of Hale and his psychotic relationship with another culture. Calvinists should not be allowed to associate with beautiful places like Hawaii and gullible people. It's a sad story overall, and this film only touches on the general shame of what happened in Hawaii in the 19th century. The sequel "Hawaiians" touches on another small part of the book, but still blurs the whole story with white spots. I think it's time to dig deep into this book and the basic facts and make a series with more attention to detail and historical accuracy.
