The original was released by United Artists, but when MGM bought UA they apparently decided to cut a few corners, Hawaii being one of them. This film teaches how the fantasies of cultures and religions distort many people's views. The characterizations are absurd, the plot is unrealistic, and nudity is used for added appeal.
