Honestly they work very well. Although the cheap plastic and compression spring are a bit tight, these angled [clamps] work as advertised. I usually only use one at a time so if and when the plastic breaks I have others to spare. I've used them primarily to hold the extensions of butt-joined jams square while I staple, nail, or screw the joints together. The clamp allows me to keep my fingers off the joint when attaching and avoid painful sticking when the pin or brace is passed through the surface of the board.
