I couldn't afford the $200 welding helmet I had my eye on so bought it instead when I saw it at a great price. I've been using it for 9 months now and I'm very happy with it. Insight's auto-dimming filter is really good. Four sensors arranged around the lens ensure reliable switching. Lots of customization options to fine-tune to your needs. It even works with inverter machines, which doesn't darken my cheaper lens. The headgear is very comfortable, fixed in the up or down position and easy to adjust depending on the size of the head and the position of the body forward or backward relative to your face. But I really like the welding helmet itself. It is very light and flexible with a low profile. I weld pipes on construction sites and I often find myself in hard-to-reach places. The smaller flexible hood really helps. Add to that it easily adapts to a helmet with a Jackson adapter and the front pads are standard 4 1/2 x 5 1/4 clear lenses and I'm sold. The only possible complaint I can offer is that I would like the Insight filter's light state to be a bit brighter (this would help when working in a shop). Overall, I am very happy that I found this helmet, especially since I really liked it.
