I've been taking acetyl-L-carnitine (Now Foods brand) for a while but recently stopped. It seemed like a good deal and for some reason I have always trusted the Jarrow brand. I bought it because I needed 250 mg. I took half a 250mg capsule - just in case - if I tried something new. Then I noticed in the bathroom mirror that I had a red blotchy rash all over my face. Many hours later he still hadn't left. I feel a restless, almost unsettling kind of energy - it's like a racing heart. I drink a lot of water and I hope it will all be over soon. I am returning this product.
