This is a wonderful product. This is part of my 3 step plan to keep my eyelids looking normal. When I use certain products or touch certain objects and then touch my eyes, I have trouble with my eyelids turning into unwanted, cryptic guardians, dry, pink, puffy, scaly disasters. Acc! It's really scary to watch. I think it's called contact dermatitis and it's not a pretty sight! If you're looking for a game plan, try this one from me. It really works: First, I use a five-minute warm, wet compress on my eyes daily. Second, I apply this product to clean, dry eyes morning and night to help prevent unwanted eye stains. Be sure to pat your eyes dry before applying, otherwise you may experience a burning sensation. Third, I do my best to avoid triggers - dust, petting cats and then touching my eyes, multiple eye creams, eyelash glue, oil-based eye makeup remover, some fragrances, etc. It's a daily struggle, but this product helps really, stop the reaction. I'm glad I found it. I try to keep it handy. I don't want to be without him. I wish it was a little cheaper. When I found out I needed to use it regularly, I started buying a larger bottle to save a few (about $10) bucks. Try new products. If you've ever suffered from this condition, you know how scary it can be trying something new in front of your eyes. And if you're like me, you're afraid you're going to have a bad reaction, right? Well, I learned about our skin's natural moisture barrier. (See Dr. Stacy Shillington on Youtube) I've learned that foaming soap destroys the protective barrier and causes problems like contact dermatitis and acne. Of course, I've been using foam soap for many years. So I gradually switched and started using organic jojoba oil on my face. There are some great videos on YouTube about oil cleaning. Check them out for more information. At first I didn't dare to put it on my eyelids. But after about 6 weeks, I saw my facial skin improve drastically, so I started testing the oil on the corners of my eyelids. No reaction! :DI then moved to daily use on the eyes. I saw a difference after a month. My eyelids are softer, hydrated and less itchy. So I started using eye primer and then eye shadow and no reaction! I believe jojoba oil restores my eyelids! and prevent them from reacting. Now let me be CLEAR I still avoid other triggers and use warm compresses and an eye and eyelash cleanser daily, but I'm really looking forward to having eye makeup back on. If you want a list of what I use for my eyes besides spray and warm compresses, here is: 1. Jojoba Oil Cliganic or Levan Rose (both available from Revain)2. Too Faced Shadow Insurance (eyelid primer)3. CeraVe Revitalizing Eye Cream (for moisturizing under eyes and sides of eyes only, not on eyelids)4. Tarte eyeshadow in a flirty palette5. Blinc Mascara (creates mascara, not color) Hope this helps. Everyone is different so these products may not work for you, but if they do, I'm glad I was able to help! I wish I had known about oils to improve my moisture barrier sooner! I should also emphasize that I only used the spray and compresses until my eyelids were completely normal, and then slowly added these other products one at a time so I would know if there were any issues. Good luck in your search for beautiful hats! :) Update January 2020: This month I had rashes on my eyes (left eye) for the first time. It's been almost 2 years since I haven't had any issues with the plan above. I want to say that I stopped drinking wet warm compresses and sprays. I still used them, just not every day. Then two weeks ago I caught a bad cold and I think my immune system was weakened. That's when I got this horrible little red scaly patch on my left eye. I immediately reverted to the daily warm compresses and more industrious use of the spray, and eliminated all eye makeup and oils except mascara. I put a small amount of cortisone 10 on the stain and it was gone in about four days. I don't recommend daily use of cortisone because I've heard that overuse of the eyelids can cause blindness. So when you use it, only use a small amount for a very short period of time - less than a week. About a week later someone brought me a bouquet of beautiful roses and pink stargazer lilies which I placed in my bedroom and closed the door. The next morning I woke up with swollen pink Tomb Keeper eyes! Trigger Warning Ack! I'm sharing this update with you so you know that if you do get the virus, you should probably be more strict with your 3-step plan to avoid problems. And just so you know, things like flowers can be a trigger. For me it was stargazer lilies. You might think twice before locking yourself in a room with them all night. Hope that helps.
