It seems to me that AKC believed too much in the "one size fits many" approach, and they got it wrong. I've read other reviews (after we already bought / A** backwards haha) and seen a lot of complaints about the size and "there's no choice but to return" and I don't agree with them! no offense to previous reviewers, but if you have the general knowledge, resizing is a walk in the park. I gave three stars because I had to adjust mine! I had to trim a bit for size and even redo the whole strap layout because it was too flimsy and kept slipping off. We're using this for a 27lb Puggle, if you're looking at this for smaller dogs just be a little suspicious, but even if you need to make some adjustments this is a great harness to keep your small pets safe :p
