I have a Surface Book 3 connected to a Dock2 and it only has 2 USB-C video outs. I have 3 monitors so I wanted to keep it that way. I received this dongle and it was truly plug and play. After 10 seconds my third monitor was operational. Highly recommended. I received the DVI model but there are 2 adapters in the box. I used DVI USB. Save some money and get the DVI model (with the adapter included) as it's cheaper than the HDMI model. Note that I use HD monitors and don't care too much about video quality as I don't play games or watch 4K content. In my opinion there is no lag (hanging) or bad picture on the monitor.
