I bought this cymbal to replace a 64 oz DANSK cymbal that cracked in 20 years of service. The size of this HIC bowl is listed as 8.5 x 8.2 x 4 inches. ((Let's just ignore the fact that a round bowl can't have three dimensions.)) In fact, the HIC bowl is just under 8 inches in diameter (I'd say 7 and 7/8), which roughly equals 3 and 5 / eight. inches high. In the photo you can see an old Danish license plate on the right and an HIC license plate on the left. Both hold 64 ounces of water. The Dansk bowl allows your food to expand by about half an inch, or at least not go over the edges. The HIC plate barely holds 64 oz. In short, the HIC bowl is smaller than advertised and does NOT FUNCTIONALLY hold 64 oz. I'll probably keep the two I bought (at $18.99 each), but will look for a higher quality, more accurately sized bowl in the future.
