We bought this collar because our handler recommended it. It's wide enough (1.5 inches) not to hurt Kira's neck/throat. It offers more control than her harness, and she doesn't mind wearing it (even after almost a year of wearing it, she's still making life miserable for us). it's time to put on a belt - and we've tried several ways). This collar is soft on the inside and also presses a little due to the neoprene. The color (we have pink camouflage) is bright and beautiful. The clip/clasp is very strong and sturdy. If your dog has a high level of measurement it might be a good idea to increase the size so the velcro adjustment works properly.
