Review on πŸš€ AMD Athlon 3000G 2-Core Unlocked Desktop Processor with Radeon Graphics and 4-Thread Support by Tony Wilson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Powerful and unpretentious processor.

Not the fastest processor, but quite adequate. Also, Windows 8.1 doesn't block updates while it's being worked on. After handing my computer over to my dad whose 13 year old CAD had finally given up the ghost, I had a few parts - SSD, GTX 960 graphics card, Wraith Stealth CPU cooler and some RAM. I've been pre-ordering the b450 motherboard and 3300x since May but it still hasn't arrived so I unplugged and got the athlon 3000g. The motherboard supplies the processor on all cars with a voltage of 1.277 volts. By setting the voltage to the same value, the processor can remain stable up to 3900 MHz, reaching 65 Β° C under Wraith Stealth with an ambient temperature of 28 Β° C. At 65 Β° C, I draw the CPU temperature line anyway, and it will not recommended to increase it above (or above 1.3V). I use it as HTPC and for some light games like Cities: Skylines and Stellaris where FPS is not the goal. It reminds me of a $30 Duron 1300 I got back in 2003. Same great price, same easy overclocking potential. It's not true that this processor doesn't support NVME, it definitely does on a suitable B450 board. I have 3 drives installed - 2.5" SATA SSD, M.2 B drive with 2242 SATA key and M.2 M key with 2280 NVME key and all running at full speed, plus graphics card. MOBO is Asrock B450M steel. Legend with Bios 2.90, 3.30 and 3.60 Make sure you haven't disabled your NVME port if you are using both SATA and NVME ports:* M2_2 and SATA3_3 share lanes. If one is used, the other is β€’ 1 Ultra M.2 connector (M2_1), supports M Key 2242/2260/2280 M.2 PCI Express modules up to Gen3 x4 (32Gbps) (with Matisse, Picasso , Summit Ridge, Raven Ridge, and Pinnacle Ridge) or Gen3 x2 (16Gbps) ) (with Athlon series APUs)**** Supports NVMe SSDs as boot drives
