I don't think the procedure helped me to choose this fan. I'm a student and money is tight. But I think maybe this experience has shown me that sometimes a lot more money goes a long way. Don't get me wrong, it works well and saved my life over the summer. But overall I'm disappointed. I managed with no problems, but ended up with a tilt of the fan tower. I later corrected the tilt, but the fan started making strange noises. When I turn it on, it's pretty loud. It does fade over time but it's still annoying as I started noticing noise after a few days of use. It's a brand new fan so I'm a little annoyed. Overall it works and it's a good price but I got what I paid for.
