The thing is so cool! I bought this for my 3 year old daughter who is obsessed with the stars but I found it just as fun as her. She "helped" open the box, then I had to read the instructions. The Digit is a timer display that is pretty cool and very easy to install. Then you have a multicolored lamp OR *spinning multicolored stars* inside when you unscrew the lamp. The changing colors really got me excited and we had fun playing with them and making the different colors glow. It comes with a nifty strap so you can hang it on your door, and it even came with a cable so you can just plug it in and not worry about batteries. I like this touch very much. The only possible downside would be that my 3 year old unscrewed part of the lamp and crushed the removable planet/star insert. I love the versatility of the device so much that I will just be careful when placing the lamp in her room. I've been looking for something like this since we discovered her star tortoise burned 4 batteries in two weeks and stopped using her.
