I bought this for my 2014 Acura RLX. After searching the internet for ideas for a difficult to install vehicle, it turned out to be perfect. I placed it in the air vent next to the steering wheel (on the right) and it's out of the way and clearly visible. If I were taller and had to move the seat further back I'm not sure that would be the best seat for him but for me it's perfect. It has a very strong effect on ventilation. There is no movement. I attached the magnet to the back of the case, not my phone. I use an Iphone 5S and it sticks to the ball like glue. No rebound like other vent mounts.
