The buckle didn't work properly. Having been in the military for two years, I know how these belts are supposed to work. On the first try, the buckle got stuck and didn't open properly. Thus, the real belt failed. Tried again the next day and this time it worked. But later that day when I tried to remove the belt, the buckle would not "open" so the belt could be untied. He just got stuck. I ended up cutting off the belt with scissors. The only reason it gets two stars is because the webbing seems to be of high quality.
