My 8 year old Caique has a bad habit of eating like a human. He will pick up a scratching post with food in his foot, dropping 90% of the food and actually eating maybe half the pellet. He ran out of food less than an hour after I fed him and I'm so sick of the waste. I installed this feeder in his cage and the problem was gone overnight! It's easy to install (assuming it fits in your cage door) as it comes fully assembled, although the barebones hooks leave something to be desired in terms of stability. I wish they had included some sort of bracket instead of hooks as it sits at an angle, but I was able to adjust it to sit to suit my bird. It's only been a few months since I bought this product but it has already paid for itself in the form of saved feed and I no longer have to walk around his cage in a pile of pellets on the carpet. Great tool for learning and saving money when you have a dirty bird!
