I wish the replacement sleeve was longer

I love the design of this product but the replacement sleeve is too short to fully protect the belt through my bike so each set of belts only lasts a year on my 3rd set. So I take the sleeve from the old set and slip it onto the new one to double the length. but it doesn't hang well on my brake shield, I've tried sewing on the sleeves but to no avail
