This is a really nice travel set made from quality materials. The carry bag is a nice brown velvet, and the board is made from leather and a soft suede. You use the same pieces for all the games, which cuts down on the number of pieces you have to keep track of. You just flip them over for chess. They included instructions on how to play all three games, which is another added bonus since I know how to play chess and checkers but need to learn backgammon! It has a zipper compartment to store all the pieces, very convenient. There are also a couple of small rods at either end of the board to help it lay flat. This would make a great gift, but I'm keeping mine to take camping!
