Wow. This shelf is beautifully finished and you can feel its solidity as soon as you take it out of the box. Nice deep shelf, thick construction and the rails don't sag under weight. You can easily load the rack with heavy equipment. Very smooth rail. The only downside is that while the mount is 1U, the overall height is more than 1U, so it actually takes up 1U of space at the bottom. If you place a device with a rack mounting surface on it, you cannot attach it to the corresponding mounting holes. This is probably not a design intent, but FYI if you intend to use this for heavy audio equipment.
