Review on Portable Notebook Computer Extender πŸ’» by ALLVIA - 1920X1080P HD, 60Hz by Rick Grosland

Useful monitor in my review.

I bought this monitor to help out on the go because my work laptop is only 15 inches which makes a single screen very inefficient. There were few options for attachable monitors, and I wanted one that didn't force me to attach magnets to the back of my laptop. The small monitor attaches securely to the top of my laptop and comes with a small, adjustable bracket to attach to the back. The image on the monitor is clear, albeit small. It has some basic brightness, contrast and blue light functions, all accessed via the misleadingly labeled power button. There's sound too, although I changed the setting to output sound from my laptop as it's louder. My laptop battery usually lasts 4 hours. With the standard monitor connected it was about 3 hours and 20 minutes (of course it depends on the screen brightness etc.). The monitor comes in a nice bag. I want it to be soft or have one side with a hard insert because it doesn't protect the screen from possible bumps. There's also no safe way to stow an adjustable support mount in a bag without damaging the monitor. I don't like storing separately. My two complaints are: a) The cable connectors need to be at the bottom. If you move them to the side, you will need more free space. They kept clinking like I was working from the passenger seat of a car. B) As can be seen in the image of the Excel table, the content on the left edge of the screen is slightly truncated. I contacted support (very polite and quick) who said it was the result of making and playing with the aspect ratio of the display, which didn't help as there are only 2 options. I recommend considering these two things in the next update. Design and consider enlarging the screen. The monitor was about 1 inch in black plastic, which would have been more useful to the user if it was part of the screen. There were several comparable clip-on monitors with slightly larger screens, but I chose this one because: Besides being expensive, I felt they might be too heavy for my desired credibility.
