Small would have been fine but I wanted to be able to wear this at the club and at the office. I'm slim thick at 5'3" 120lbs and this fit perfectly. I opted for the larger size for a little bit more length, but it still fit pretty snugly.Material is thicker and better quality than expected. Has a slimming effect on the belly pouch if you have one. Great purchase!
