First I look at the overall design of the computer. I like that it's small. It's literally the size of a Roku box, but with more processing power. It's got a nice glossy top, which can be a bad thing because it picks up fingerprints, and the rest is almost all metal to dissipate heat. Next thing is that there are multiple vents for proper airflow. That being said, the device itself is pretty quiet and stays pretty cool for most things I use it for. Behind, where the socket is, five USB 3.0 ports. I would have liked at least one USB port on the front, but there isn't. The front panel features two Ethernet ports and a micro SD card reader. It's a bit strange for me to see this in front of a computer. When plugged in, the whole computer looks a bit strange. USB 3.0 transfers fairly quickly, depending on what device you have plugged into it. They're relatively far apart, so you have a lot of wiggle room. There's a USB 3.0 port located on the side next to the power connector, which is a little harder to reach when plugged in. This computer uses the AC adapter to turn on. The power adapter can accommodate more than one plug in an outlet due to its size. The power button is on the back and with an SSD it boots pretty quickly. For some reason, the SSD on the device was split into two separate hard drives. I'd prefer it on a single drive considering you only have 128GB for real work. This is easy to fix. The next part of it is that it doesn't have a lot of processing power. Only in standby mode was it already reading at 100% CPU load. You get a noticeable delay when you open your browser and try to load a page; However, once you've downloaded it, it's relatively smooth. It struggles with multitasking, but to be honest this PC is really just for streaming or the basics. It has two HDMI ports, so you can use two screens with this mini PC. However, note that it will be a bit difficult for him to multitask on two screens. It also has built-in Wi-Fi that can be connected to either 2.4GHz or 5GHz. All in all, this PC does what it's supposed to do. It might not be the most powerful computer out there, but it's a great computer for your TV or your kids. It can watch videos, transfer files and anything you want to cast to your TV. It has dual monitor capability, but the CPU is definitely on the low end.
