Review on Electric Fly Swatter Handheld Batteries by Kevin Farmer

I bought this product to replace our old electric fly swatter. I use it all the time but it's time for a replacement. This product had such good reviews that I decided to purchase it to replace my existing electric fly swatter. The product says it comes with its own AA batteries but they were completely dead when we received them so we had to replace the batteries. with NEW AA batteries (correct - batteries supplied should be 20 years old). The battery compartment is a bit tricky to remove - it's a tight fit, but nothing where a flathead screwdriver or butter knife couldn't help. The only thing I don't like about this item which is different from my old one is that the loaded fly has to touch BOTH INNER METAL AND OUTER METAL AT THE SAME TIME for it to fly away. This can be difficult when dealing with something smaller than a large horsefly or wasp. The only way to discharge it is to insert a metal knife (WITH A RUBBER/PLASTIC HANDLE, BTW) into the screen and touch the center and outer wires. can't complain too much. The metal on the outside is very strong and the product is very light. Hopefully over time I can hit things and soften the outer metal so it's more flexible and easier to touch the inner metal resulting in more efficiency.
