Review on πŸ”§ BMC Universal Vacuum Pump: Handheld Brake Bleeder Kit Ensuring Efficient Auto Service & Food Canning with Brake Bleeding Tester Set by Jaime Miranda

Revainrating 1 out of 5

The pump was used once, cleaned and installed.

The pump used once, cleaned and put back in the case. The next time I tried to use it, it wouldn't hold a vacuum. I took it apart to find a plastic plunger and plastic housing for the "umbrella valve" (one-way valve). The plastic of the umbrella is cracked. There are no parts or kits. Don't let the metal/brass body fool you, this thing is junk plastic and not good for in-car use. Take the Actron block which looks identical, the insides are brass with rubber seals. If seals fail, Actron still sells a rebuild kit. $28 for a disposable pump. I wish I had spent a few bucks more and bought an Actron or something. I thought since they looked the same the inside would be the same, but this one has pure junk inside.

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • Expensive
