I originally bought this to replace the 128GB SanDisk in my Surface. I saw it rated for apps and figured I could get away with installing apps on it like I did with SanDisk. boy it was a mistake I'm getting write speeds of around 40MB/s for around 10 seconds. It then drops to zero for about 30 seconds, and in the meantime any apps you were running in the background will freeze. The cycle continues until everything using the SD card in the background has died down. Oh, and this little thing is getting hot. For example burn the skin. It doesn't seem to keep up with its own internal cache, but what's really baking my noodles is the same thing that happens when you download a file in Firefox, for example. Set it to save to SD card and although it maxes out at around 5MB/s write speed, it still freezes after the same amount of time and for the same amount of time. That makes it pretty crazy to use it for what it's supposedly designed for. I honestly wonder if it will even keep up with the camcorder. Unfortunately I can't recommend it.
