I am very impressed with this electric candle lighter. It works great as advertised. The quality of materials and assembly seems to be quite decent. It comes fully charged so I can test it right away. It creates a small arc between two electrodes at the end, hot enough to light a candle. I like that it's windproof and also safer than butane lighter fluid. The lighter has a two-stage child lock. You have to turn on the power switch and then press the ignition button to create an arc. However, you must remember to turn the power switch back to the off position after you are done. I would have preferred a spring-loaded auto-return switch, so you have to push and hold it and then press the firing button. A positive point is the presence of an LED power indicator. It also has another safety feature to turn off the arc automatically after 7 seconds if the ignition button is kept pressed. The lighter is rechargeable and comes with a micro USB charging cable. However, you need to provide your own USB power adapter or power adapter. The 4 battery level indicators on it are useful as you can see how much charge is left and where the charge status is. There is also a small handy hook to hang it next to kitchen utensils. There is also a small brush for cleaning the tip. Overall this is a great electric candle lighter. It is compact, lightweight and easy to use. I find it safer to handle and "refuel" (recharge) than a butane lighter. The 2-level parental controls could use some improvement, but it's still very useful. I'm happy with that. 4.5 stars.
