The light works well. The sturdy plastic clip went well with my low, thick wooden headboard, which I centered on the headboard. The lighting modes are amazing - I use the brightest to read old paperbacks. I'm still learning how to control lighting effects. SAVE the instructions and actually read them! One thing I would like (and easy to add I think) is rubber pads on the clamp to prevent the clamp from sliding vertically if I accidentally hit it with a pad. It can be a bit heavy at the top as I raised the lantern as high as possible due to the low headboard - it's even more important to have rubber on the clamping surfaces to keep it securely in place. Oh, and a touch on/off would be a nice feature, plus a slightly longer power cord. I have a two wire cable connected to a multiport power supply. Otherwise I am very satisfied with my purchase.
