Review on Swivel Shackle Marine Stainless 316 3 1 by Mariqn Carey

Overall polish and quality looks great. The swivel ring bolt design means the shackle attaches to the deck or other fixed position. In this configuration it works well for securing the sail etc. The clevis locking pin works well for opening and closing. Spring tension is not excessive (perhaps a little light). The length of the rounded end pin makes it easier to close the shackle (which = is a bit short). For these reasons, I have mentioned a fixed position for donning the orthosis. If the shackle were to dangle at the end of the line, the pin would likely break the spring and release/open the shackle. BUT. a ring pin swivel is not designed for this. This is done for a permanent position. I will buy this bandage again if needed. 2 cents vic
