We bought this to help us transport 4 cats across the country in the car. It worked very well. We have a small SUV which takes up the most space with the seats folded, but we can fit 2 carry-ons and 2 backpacks around it. We were able to fit a medium sized rigid carrier and a small soft sided carrier in the playpen for the cats to hide and sleep. That way we always kept them safe whenever we let them out of the trunk. We have also set up a cat bed and a tray. Our cats are not very good travelers and were scared all the time, but this playpen really has made everything so much better. We always knew where they were, but they could walk, eat, and use bedding. Also, they didn't spill out of the car doors when we needed to fill up or load our suitcases. We have traveled with cats before and were always afraid that they would accidentally slip out of a door or window. This playpen solves that big problem by giving cats room to move. We also had no broken zippers or breakage. This was a great solution for us.
