Review on Logitech Desktop Microphone Black Silver by Kevin King

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Ideal for desktop recording and speech recognition Dragon

I used Creative sound cards and good quality headphones to get good enough sound quality for Dragon Naturally Speaking. The built-in audio is often not high enough for good results. A good aftermarket sound card from Creative Labs that sounds better than the built in can cost $50 to $100 or even a few hundred dollars. This simple, lightweight, and unobtrusive desktop microphone makes recording voice notes and Dragon dictation on your desk ridiculously easy. my office with the train passing by, no problem with voice recognition. I have not used the Dragon software I paid for. Who likes to sit at their desk with a wireless headset and keep taking it off? It sits on the corner of my desk and I dictate whenever I want, just by activating the microphone. Wonderful. This thing is amazing. I bought another one for my home computer for the same reason. It's probably not as good as a $100-$300 desktop mic for podcasting or recording music, like the excellent Blue Yeti mic (great for recording music and singing), but it's a godsend for those of us who like to dictate type all the time. Would highly recommend it for its intended purpose. This item must be sold with a naturally speaking dragon. It is so good.
