1) Add a few drops of food grade mineral oil and wipe clean every once in a while. That will deter rust spots.2) Only boil filtered soft water to prevent residue buildup and make for ease of cleaning.3) Wipe dry before storing.4) To clean off rust spotting, add a few drops of food grade mineral oil and scrub with Grade 00 steel wool.
