There are many different types of knee pain and problems and there is NO ONE solution for everyone. For the area below the kneecap and slightly inward pain, probably caused by a torn meniscus, THIS WORKS but the best of the seven different ones I've used. I still use the other two, both these and these add the icing on the cake. If I only had to use or have one, this would be the one. The top strap ONLY holds the more important bottom strap in place, and you can also tighten the bottom strap however you like. Most importantly, IT REALLY WORKS. I love it. Pain of any kind is an individual issue, but if you have a meniscus tear or perhaps osteoarthritis below the kneecap, this is something to try. FIVE STARS well deserved.
