Walking across icy parking lots morning and night is by far the most dangerous and dangerous part of my ski patrol days. I was looking for micronubs that are suitable for everyday outdoor use and will not damage the flooring. they are definitely more like full size crampons - very difficult to walk on hard surfaces (e.g. patio, concrete) and DESTROY any type of indoor pavement. but no issues with fit or function. I have women's shoes 8.5 (US size). I ordered a medium and put them on the Asolo hiking shoes. They fit great and have killer traction on ice and hard snow. Now, with my big backpack and lots of gear, I can definitely run a lot faster! Note, however, that these are BIG tips! (My fault for not reading the description carefully enough.) I'll probably keep them to myself and order a set of microstuds.
