Review on ๐Ÿ’ช HMB Powder: Powerful Muscle Building Supplements with Fasting & ATP Benefits - Calcium Butyrate included (1kg - 2.2lbs) by Kimberly Bryant

HMB is an anti-catabolic metabolite of leucine.

HMB is anti-catabolic. This is useful not only for cutting, but also for diseases that lead to wasting, such as cancer, AIDS, etc. For athletes with injuries, this helps preserve muscle during rest periods. The greatest effects of HMB are found in older athletes who are struggling to recover. Or for people just starting out, using HMB will reduce DOMS - delayed muscle soreness. However, for seasoned pro athletes in their prime, you won't notice this effect. HMB is a leucine metabolite. As you may know, of the three BCAAs, leucine is the most effective for maintaining or building muscle mass. However, leucine is metabolized in the body to HMB, which does all the work to keep muscle tissue from overtraining. A typical dose is 3 grams per day, about half an hour before the gym. One study found that the anabolic effects were enhanced when HMB was combined with glutamine and arginine. I mixed together 3 teaspoons of HMB, one teaspoon of glutamine, two teaspoons of arginine and one teaspoon of creatine, and a teaspoon or two of leucine. You will notice a difference in a few weeks. Basically, you'll have more energy and better recovery, especially if you're older or new to the gym. All the studies I've read recommended taking this on non-workout days. HMB is not a steroid, vitamin or drug. It's simply a metabolite of a common amino acid. You cannot pass a drug test for HMB because it is NOT a drug.

Pros
