I have two identical Epever chargers, one on a yacht and one still at home that I play with. The controller does what it is supposed to do. I strongly recommend buying at least the MT-50 display. My favorite feature is the serial port, which can be used to connect devices such as Epever Elog, Ebox-BLE Bluetooth, Ebox Wifi, MT-50 Display and Laptop. A brief note about these devices: MT-50: I like it. It works reliably, has a nice display and makes it easy to program your controller. Elog: I like it. It logs your data so other devices can read data from the controller. The data can be downloaded for use in spreadsheets or other programs. This is especially handy if your controller is in a remote location. Ebox-BLE: Allows your phone to connect to the free Epever app. Decent.Ebox-Wifi: To be used with the same application as Bluetooth. You need to connect your device (phone/tablet) directly to it, so in most cases you won't be able to connect to your home network even with your device. Despite this downside, this is useful if you don't have Bluetooth, want to use Bluetooth for other purposes, or don't have a Wi-Fi network to stay connected to (perhaps on a van/boat). - elog will continue to collect your data while you are disconnected). If you want to do a bit of digging, this can be used as a serial-to-TCP interface, but the application won't run in this mode, and there are probably better ways to do it. But the best thing about the serial port is that Epever has kept it simple and standardized. Thanks to this, everything works reliably and everyone can easily set up the controller via the MT-50 or the app. Equally important for those interested in real-time monitoring and statistics, it is easy to read the data from the controller and perform the necessary actions on it. Pretty much everyone has different needs in terms of what they want to track and how they want to display it, so being able to read data from a controller is a must. In my case I can't put up solar panels to get full sun but my batteries are critical because they power my bilge pump. Even in partial sunlight the controller works very well to keep my batteries charged and the serial port allows me to keep tabs on what's happening based on my needs.
