I recently bought this for my coffee table to help with a lot of devices that need charging around our house. For this purpose it works very well. USB ports allow for fast charging of our phones, which is nice. what you need to know Rotating the tower to access the ports on the opposite side will retract the cable. This isn't a big problem as you only start to lose length after a few turns. The only real downside is the high level of electrical noise that comes from the USB ports when they're on. You can disable ports when they're not in use, but if you're sensitive to these noises it's good to know as they're definitely audible and can be annoying. For me personally, the pros outweigh the cons and I am happy. with my purchase. Edit: After about 6 months of use, the layer with USB ports died. The top two socket sets still work, so are still in use. For now it's just a regular power strip with no USB ports, which is a shame. I've tried resetting the fuse multiple times but the USB ports won't come back. For this reason upgrade to two stars.
