I bought this medium drawer slide to fix a broken drawer slide on a 20 year old Blackhawk 5 drawer dresser. Older Blackhawk dressers had drawer slides that didn't come off, meaning the drawers couldn't slide out. Quite a hassle if you want to move the dresser as it is very heavy with all the drawers. This hickory slide can be divided; I've seen several comments asking this question. The narrow track is the drawer track and the wider track with ball bearing guides is the track that attaches to the bottom of the dresser. To separate them, you must firmly grasp each piece and firmly move the narrow guide in and out until it eventually disengages from the ball bearing carriage. You may need to get a little creative with the installation. On a Blackhawk dresser, the screw runs diagonally to the front of the drawer slide; No problem, just bend the front of the drawer slightly. It's also a good idea to note which side of the larger foil is the "back" - if you mix up front and back, like I did, the box has very limited movement. Good replacement hardware.
