I use this measuring wheel a little differently than most people. I had major 360 back surgery 14 months ago and have been doing physical therapy to strengthen my back muscles ever since. It was very difficult to walk a distance without back cramps. First I used a walker, then a cane, but walking with a cane was always bad. After a recent trip to the airport where I used my suitcase to support myself while walking, I was able to keep up and didn't get tired because the rolling luggage helped me balance. I thought maybe I could attach the wheel to my stick but then I thought of a measuring wheel and it's perfect for my purpose and the added bonus is I know how many meters I've run which is great! It is very accurate and easy to use, light weight and has a brake that stops at the mark!
