My old keychain buttons kept falling off one by one. I was able to disassemble my old key fob and fit the "innards" and key into the body of the new key fob. Two things to note: The old keychain was difficult to take apart. It would have been easier if it was designed as a replacement, but there was no screw. The second thing to note is that the key didn't look like it was the same style as my key. I changed the keys and everything was fine.
