Review on 🧡 Premium Non-Stick Zigzag Teflon Presser Foot - Compatible with Singer, Brother, Janome and more! by Sasha Hsiao

Works on some machines, not all.

Used this on a small leather item and it worked well. I have two short-shank machine tools: a Singer 5050 that I've had for a long time, and a Janome 5124 that I bought a few months ago. The foot sits well on the Singer. It attaches well to the Janome, but it's misaligned and doesn't fully fit the racks. I compared this leg to the legs that came with the machine and noticed that the Janome legs have the mounting bars slightly off-center. This is probably not a big deal for a small project, but on many or large projects, especially ones that require more power like leather, it can cause your machine to wear out faster because the distribution of forces is a bit poor. Since a new machine costs a lot more than this foot, I gritted my teeth and bought a Janome brand non-stick foot (which works great too). In general, this is normal for a normal foot. But be aware that on (some) Janomes at least, the trunk only sticks out slightly from the feeders once attached. Another difference is that the universal one is slippery due to the foil on the bottom. The brand name does have a textured bottom, but the material is the same throughout the foot. For the price if you can use regular feet (like my Singer) it's a good deal because you can get a new one once the foil on the bottom wears out. Beware of owners of a used Janome, while it assembles and works it will not fit perfectly due to the build and will end up costing some serious dollars per machine. I took off a star because they said it would fit both brands, but they don't. Happy sewing everyone.
