but in the future I will buy a less visible wired version with a better viewing angle

- When received, the camera was floating in the bracket. I had to disassemble it, install the camera and reassemble it. The LEDs didn't work either. I have no problems with signal loss or picture clarity. I installed the transmitter in the front of the trunk with the antenna pointing towards the interior of the car and the receiver on top of the head unit with the antenna pointing towards the rear of the car. The signal receiver has no additional return cable. So if you connect it to a head unit, you still need to run a wire from the head unit to the reversing lights. This was an oversight on my part but worth noting for those looking at this product. I've turned it on and made it usable now, but will be getting a less flashy wired version with a better viewing angle in the future. The license plate bracket is very simple and requires no drilling, but is very obvious and obscures my license plate decal (Illinois numbers).

Pros
  • 7 infrared LEDs for night vision;
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly
