I like the bracket. It's attractive and affordable. It's quite well made, although I would wish for a more durable mounting plate. I see how someone over tightening the screws when installing on a rough surface can crack the plastic. I mounted mine to a rough brick wall and applied a bead of Gorilla non-curing adhesive sealant to the back of the mounting plate to ensure good contact at all points. The screws were tightened until the glue had set overnight. Now it's pretty strong and rigid. Please note that the device can apparently be mounted on a standard 1/2 inch pipe, as there is a hole with the desired diameter at the back. I took advantage of this hole by cutting a short length of gray PVC pipe to act as a cable stop. I believe that over the years this will help protect the cable from abrasion on a rough brick wall. I'll attach a photo in case others want to adopt the idea. Anyway, my only downside is that the mounting plate could be a little more durable, metal would actually be great but I'm sure it will add to the cost. Overall it's good value for money and holds the cord and plug very well. If installed with common sense it should hold up well.
