Review on Mountain Warehouse Womens Walking Shoes by Amber Chandler

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Very cute and durable just a little wide and warm

Bought them to go to work (2 miles RT). I've worn them in the rain a couple of times, they seem to hold up well but the arch and foot support isn't enough. I plan to get shoe inserts for this purpose. They're a bit heavy, which doesn't bother me. Very durable toe and construction. They run on the wide side and my size 8 is on the medium/narrow side. The heel was ok and didn't slip (I have narrow heels) but I was able to lace it up tight enough. Even when they're tied tighter, they still feel comfortable (they're well-padded at the top so the laces don't dig in). I walked on wet grass in the pouring rain and my feet stayed dry. However, it was raining warmly and my feet were still damp because they were a bit sweaty. For me it's normal, it's better warm than cold. They felt a bit short compared to my usual size 8, but a 9 would have been too big. Good sturdy shoes for the price. I currently have an injured knee but as soon as it gets better I plan on breaking it again. They appear to be well constructed so I suspect they will hold up well. I wouldn't wear them for heavy hikes as they are a bit heavy and sweat can chill you later. If you are an avid hiker, there is no way you could invest more in the right hiking shoes. But for most things like kicking, stacking firewood, or short hikes, they'll do and the price is right (although the build quality is way better than I expected)!
