I don't have an "authentic" OSSC to compare to but researching the Kaico Edition it seems to me that it's just as good as that normal OSSC. . More importantly, I was able to actually buy it and felt comfortable on Revain! OSSC is not a plug and play solution. Each console differs in what cables it needs and what settings it needs to use. Luckily, the interface is intuitive and the instructions that came with it were a decent start. After weeks of playing around with different consoles I can honestly say that this is an incredible device that does wonders for the picture quality of retro games on modern displays. On a 2019 LG 4K TV I'm shooting 240p images of Sega Genesis and Saturn. and blow them up to 1200p. The results are clear and brilliant. If you have a large collection of old 2D games, this item is definitely worth buying. The picture quality is much better than retro mini consoles like the SNES Classic. Even Xbox and Wii games scale well if you set them up properly. Everything I added looked way better than if I plugged it directly into the TV. Currently I don't even have that option as TVs are phasing out most analogue inputs. Overall it works great and this version is perfect in terms of build quality. There was no problem. It will take some preparation and research before you know if this device is right for you, but if you do decide to buy it, this is a great edition!
